North Side Receives Grant From Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust

Making the Call in Uptown
On December 1st, North Side acquired an existing Interim Housing program located in Uptown. As change is inevitable in all of life, the agency that was managing the program for decades cannot do so any longer. NSHSS’s New Program! 21 Supportive Housing Units for Veterans
North Side’s housing program, specifically dedicated to veterans is underway! Eligible veterans include those experiencing chronic homelessness and dual diagnosed with co-occurring substance use and mental illness. “We are excited about being able to expand our housing and join with others to ensure our veterans are taken care of,” said Neal Mueller, Director of Programs and Operations. We are working on pulling together a group of veteran advocates, the academic community, the VA and other committed sources to make a concerted effort to end veteran homelessness.
